GALILEO
Europe’s first satellite navigation system, due to be operational from 2011, offering capability with the United States GPS system and the Russian GLONASS system.

COOPANS (Partner / Ireland, Sweden, Denmark)
in April 2006, the civil aviation authorities of Ireland (IAA), Sweden (LVF Group) and Denmark (Naviair) teamed with Thales with a view to sharing the costs of harmonising existing Thales ATM systems.

Co Flight (Partner / Italy, Switzerland , France)
Signed by France, Italy and Switzerland in 2003, Co Flight is an industrial cooperation arrangement between Thales and Selex aiming to provide an interoperable Flight Data Processing system.

SAMSUNG THALES (Joint Venture / Korea)
Samsung Thales was founded in 1999 as a joint venture between Samsung Electronics and the Thales Group. The company has a broad spectrum of capabilities in defense systems such as air defence, communications, naval, electro-optics and avionics.

ThalesRaytheonSystems (Joint Venture / USA)
TRS, a transatlantic 50/50 JV by Raytheon and Thales is the outright world leader in air defence, battlefield surveillance and coordination systems, ground-based radar and operations centres.

MOSS (Joint Venture / France)
In 2003, Thales and EADS’ joint company, MOSS, has been selected as prime contractor for Phase 3 of the SCCOA air command & control system.

Omnisys Engenharia (Joint Venture / Brazil)
Thales strengthened its position in the market for civil air traffic control radars with the creation in February 2006 of a JV with Omnisys Engenharia Lta to build an L-band long-range radar.

NLAW (Partner / UK, Sweden)
Thales is partner in the consortium led by Saab Bofors for production engineering and production of the NLAW (Next-generation Light Anti-tank Weapon) anti-tank missile.

TEDC (Joint Venture / China)
In November 2006, Thales and TEDC agreed to form a JV in China. This JV venture will enable Thales to boost its air traffic management business in the country.
